# Ticket extras

A ticket can do more than open the door. Ticket extras turn it into something a
guest keeps: a stub from the night, a vault of photos and music, stamps to
collect at the venue, votes during the show, and rewards for coming back.

Every extra is **optional**. Leave them all off and your tickets work exactly
as before; turn on only the ones that fit the event.

| Extra | What your guest gets |
| --- | --- |
| Living stub | After the door scan, the ticket becomes a stub with the door number, arrival time, your artwork and an audio loop. |
| Vault | Photos, video, music, artwork or files that the ticket unlocks. |
| Time capsule | A vault item that stays locked until a date you pick — an anniversary, for example. |
| Stamp stations | A stamp for each place visited at the venue. Collecting them all can unlock a vault item. |
| Polls | A vote on the encore, the next track, anything — open only to guests who are inside. |
| Stub crafting | Stubs from your past events traded for a reward at a new one. |

## Turning extras on

When you create or edit an event, the **Ticket extras** section holds three of
them: the living stub, stamp stations and stub crafting. They are saved with
the event, and you can change them later from **Edit**.

The vault and polls are managed on the event's own page, in the **Ticket
extras** card, because their content arrives during and after the event.

## Living stub

Switch on **Living stub** and, optionally, add:

* **Stub artwork URL** — the image shown once the ticket has been scanned. Until
then the guest sees the event image.
* **Audio loop URL** — a short piece of audio that plays on the stub.

Both must be `https://` links to files you host. The door number is the guest's
place in the arrival order, counted from your door scans, so the first person
through the door holds stub number 1.

## Stamp stations

Add a station for each place worth visiting: the bar, a second stage, a merch
desk, a sponsor booth. A station has a name and an optional sponsor.

After you save, the event page lists every station with its **code**. Print
that code as a QR and put it at the station. A guest scans it to collect the
stamp.

> Stamps can only be collected by guests who have been scanned in at the door,
> so a code photographed and shared online is of no use to someone who is not
> there.

If you rename a station, its code and the stamps already collected stay valid.
Removing a station removes its stamp from the set.

## Vault

On the event page, choose **Add vault item** and fill in:

| Setting | What it does |
| --- | --- |
| Files | Upload images, video, audio, PDF or ZIP — up to 100 MB each. Pick several at once and each becomes its own item, named after its file. |
| Type | Detected from each uploaded file. Choose Artwork to file images as artwork rather than photos. |
| Title | What the guest sees in the list. With one file you can leave it empty to use the file name. |
| Link | Instead of uploading: an `https://` link to a file or gallery hosted elsewhere. |
| Tier | Optional. Limit the item to one ticket tier. |
| Only guests who attended | The ticket must have been scanned at the door. |
| Only guests with every stamp | The ticket must have collected all stamp stations. |
| Unlocks on | Optional. The item stays locked until this date and time. |

Settings combine, so an item can be for VIP guests who attended. A guest who
cannot open an item yet still sees its title and the reason it is locked.

To make a **time capsule**, set **Unlocks on** to a future date. A photo set
that opens on the first anniversary of the night is a good reason for guests to
come back to their stub — and a good moment to announce the next edition.

A guest who has unlocked an uploaded photo or video gets a download link for
it, so the whole gallery from the night can be saved.

> The link is given to the guest as it is, so they can pass it on. For media
> that must stay private, host it somewhere that issues expiring links and add
> it as a link instead of uploading.

## Polls

Choose **New poll**, type a question and two to six answers. The poll opens at
once.

Only guests who have been scanned in can vote, and each ticket votes once. The
event page shows the running count for each answer, and which answer leads in
each ticket tier — useful if you want the VIP balcony and the floor to decide
different things. Choose **Close poll** to stop the vote.

## Stub crafting

Crafting rewards guests for coming back. Switch it on for the event where the
reward is used and set:

* **Stubs required** — how many attended tickets from your events it costs.
* **Reward name** and description — a season pass, free entry, a place on the
  guest list.
* **Reusable reward** — leave off for a single-use reward; switch on for a pass
that can be scanned any number of times.

A guest with enough stubs trades them for the reward. The reward is a
[perk](#organizers-discounts-comps), so your door staff redeem it with the perk
scanner like any other. Each guest can craft the reward once per event, and a
stub that has been traded cannot be traded again — the guest still keeps it.

## What guests need

Extras are tied to the ticket, so a guest reaches them from wherever they hold
it. Stamps, votes and crafting need the ticket to be scanned in first — one more
reason to scan every guest at the door, including on the guest list.
