TicketConnect began as a hackathon answer to a real problem and became the box office we wanted to exist. What follows is what it is, what it runs on, and who is accountable for it.
WARSAW · ETH WARSAW 2024 — The first build did exactly one thing. You forwarded the confirmation email your existing ticketing platform had already sent you, and a verified ticket arrived in your wallet — no wallet connect, no seed phrase, no bridge. An SMTP oracle read the mail, pinned the PDF and minted against it.
It worked, and it answered the smaller half of the problem. Making a ticket provable is a weekend of work. Making it worth something after the sale is the rest of it.
Because the money does not go missing at the gate. It goes missing in the hours after a show sells out, on a market the promoter can see and cannot touch, at prices they set the floor for and collect nothing above. Every ticket resold is a second sale of their show, and they are the only party at that table not being paid.
So the question changed. Not how do we get this ticket on-chain — but why does the second sale pay everyone except the person who put the show on?
Every ticket issued here carries your organization’s royalty rate — 5.00% by default. Holders resell on your storefront, under your ceiling, inside the window you opened. When a listing fills, the buyer pays, the seller nets the rest and your royalty is credited in the same transaction. You never invoice anyone, and you never chase anyone.
The best technology here is the invisible kind. A promoter should be able to run a whole season without once needing to know what a block explorer is.

That is a smaller company than most of the ones you are weighing it against, and it is written here rather than hidden behind a stock photograph of eleven people at a whiteboard. If something on this platform is wrong, there is exactly one person to email about it.
